1. Database development experience using - Teradata (preferably else Oracle SQL and MS SQL Server
2. Working experience in PL/SQL scripting.
3. Creation of Unix shell scriptingGood to have:
1. Hands-on development experience using Python.
2. Exposure to components on any cloud platform.Role Purpose

• Clear understanding of Business KPIs and provide solutions to derive business values.
• Analyze business requirement, design, development and extract relevant data and provide insights as per business requirements in Vodafone to support data driven decision making.
• Identify bottlenecks and perform performance improvements in data pipelines.
• Undertake ad-hoc data analysis and reporting using SQL.
• Lead, Facilitate and participate in interaction with stakeholders.
• Knowledge on Teradata Vantage and GCP would be an added advantage.

Core Competencies, Knowledge and Experience:

• Candidate with 10+ experience in the data warehousing area with exposure to large data warehousing projects.
• Experience on data architecture, data management and designing BI solutions, proposing multiple options for best solutions.
• Exceptional data manipulation and analysis techniques; comfortable using very large (

10\'s millions of rows) datasets.

• Extensive experience on SQL and PL SQL coding using Teradata.
• Experience on BTEQ and Unix scripting.
• Experience on using RDBMS like Oracle, Teradata and Big Data.
• Ability to understand and interpret solution architecture using Cloud technologies.
• Hands on with source to target transformation design and implementation reviews.
• Data Architecture - LDM/ PDM. Ability to understand and implement logical and physical data models (normalized as well de-normalized model), with Many-to-Many Relationships, role attributes and Hierarchies in BI Tool
• Good communication skills
• Flexibility and problem solving
• Previous experience in GCP and Telecom would be a distinct advantage.

Key Accountabilities and Decision Ownership:

• Create New jobs / Modification of existing jobs/Automation and performance improvement of redundant scripts - SQL scripts on Teradata BTEQ
• Create and fix Unix shell scripts for jobs scheduling and file handling.
• Meet with relevant stakeholders regularly to track progress and highlight impediments.
• Report and query outputs, using SQL and BI tools.
• Data validation by applying business rules and providing insights to business.
• Delivery within agreed timelines and maintain quality.
