Ltd. The Customs Manager will support the Enterprise Operations organization and the role will be categorized as hybrid. As part of the Enterprise Operations Global Trade (or Logistics) team, the Customs Manager will be responsible for customs program management across the Enterprise Operations sites in India, including ensuring compliance with all applicable customs regulatory requirements and corporate customs policies and procedures.Job Title:Manager - CustomsJob responsibilities:Ensuring organizational compliance with all customs regulatory requirements and corporate policies and procedures, including but not limited to requirements relating to EOU, SEZ, DTA and AEO compliance;Ensuring the accuracy and completeness of all documentation filed by Enterprise operations with Indian customs;Remaining up to date on, and ensuring site compliance with, all changes to Indian and overseas customs regulations;Drafting a comprehensive import process manual covering all areas of customs compliance (e.g., valuation, country of origin, record keeping, etc.);Providing targeted training and communications to relevant stakeholders to raise site-wide awareness on customs-compliance requirements;Participating in all discussions concerning new product introductions and work transfers to identify and proactively resolve customs compliance issues;Assisting the Department Head for Logistics with (i) customs broker management; (ii) next flight out tracking, (ii) drop shipment coordination, (iii) inter-unit (site-to-site) transfers, (iv) tracking of items sent off site for job-work; and (v) ensuring timely updates are made to our EOU bond register;Overseeing activities performed by the Enterprise Operations firewall team, and coordinate efforts to ensure that all documentation discrepancies are resolved;Ensuring that all import license applications are obtained in a timely manner. Where required, coordinating with functional leads on the submission of such applications;Auditing customs processes and leading investigations of regulatory or policy escapes. Identifying the root cause of such escapes and ensuring the sustainment of corrective actions;Qualifications:8-10 years of Customs experience, preferably in a multinational corporation;The ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of import / export transactions in SAP;Must be able to effectively communicate in English.Experience developing and implementing standard work;Ability to work with minimum supervision;Proactive, responsive, self-motivated, receptive to change;Works well under pressure and can prioritize workload;Attention to detail and strong record management competency.Preferably an Indian national;Collins Aerospace, a Raytheon Technologies company, is a leader in technologically advanced and intelligent solutions for the global aerospace and defense industry.
