Identifying key drivers, risks and key issues in the transaction being evaluated, and leading the discussions with client and other stakeholders (LIE, rating agencies, etc) for understanding key aspects/risks of the transaction, and obtaining suitable clarifications on the same, with the objective of making the transaction bankable.
Presenting the transaction internally to senior management, bringing out the key strengths, risks and mitigants of the proposed transaction, prior to putting up to appropriate committee for final approval.
