Manager - Costing & Finance

- The Cost Accounting Manager is responsible for ensuring maintenance of accurate product cost information, maintenance of inventory system, participating in the month end close and budgeting process, and assisting the Site Finance Management with day-to-day operations and reporting requirements.

- This position will be responsible for developing/maintaining an effective cost accounting system to reduce cost and improve overall profitability

- Responsible for preparation and review of inventory valuation and product costing.

- Work with operations team and ensure work order data hygiene is maintained and work orders are closed on timely manner.

- Work closely with the operations team and ensure that the overheads are computed/apportioned /allocated to jobs in a scientific manner so that product costing/inventory valuation is accurate.

- Work with operations/supply chain team and ensure that product structures/BOM\'s are accurate and timely updated in the ERP.

- Drive the Value Engineering activities of the sites to increase product profitability, ensure the reviews are conducted at regular intervals and validate the financial outcomes achieved from the VE actions.

- Review the wastages at the micro level i.e. process wise/job wise/customer wise etc. and ensure that variances (if any) are highlighted to management and actions are initiated to mitigate the variances.

- Prepare, maintain, revise and update customer wise pricing database

- Prepare the product margin data base (PMDB), bring out the areas of concerns with actions plans, give pointed insights on each SKU/Customer so that the site team can take corrective actions.

- Prepare variance analysis of pre-cost Vs post cost and ensure there are no revenue leakages/cost overruns. Also ensure that the raw material sourcing is in line with the raw material prices considered in pre-cost and highlight concerns (if any) to the central commercial team and site leadership team.
