Since the beginning, Thales has been playing an essential role in Indiaxe2x80x99s growth story by sharing its technologies and expertise in Defence, Transport, Aerospace and Digital Identity and Security markets. xe2x80x93 Communication ManagerLocation: BangaloreJob objectiveThe Communications Manager will work as a core team member of the India communications team and a business partner of the Engineering Competence Centre xe2x80x93 being the local point of contact with regards to the Bangalore-based communications (internal and external) activities. The main objective is to strategically promote Thalesxe2x80x99s local engineering success stories within the Group and to enhance our corporate presence in the region.FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIESThe Communication Manager will interact regularly with the India communications team, other internal stakeholders in India and the Group (corporate, business units, business lines) under the supervision of the India Director of Communications.Internal Communications: Prepare and execute a Bangalore site specific internal communications plan in collaboration with the India Communications team, Bangalore Engineering leadership team and respective functions - aligned with the country specific communications plan.

  • Facilitate internal communications within Bangalore, nurturing employee engagement & enhancing strategic positioning of the Centre within the Group (key visits, internal events, editorials for internal channels, sharing key milestones/achievements, internal campaigns/ initiatives, etc.).
Exhibitions and events: Execute and manage exhibitions, events and the rollout of corporate events with a view to promote Thales corporate values & corporate stance.
  • Planning and delivering events (exhibitions, conferences, seminars, job fairs with talent acquisition, press events,...): organization + follow up and coordination with the concerned people + products and demos on display + other branding, speaking and marketing deliverables
Branding, Advertising and Content: Work closely with the Group on advertising in relevant print, broadcast and online media. Prepare the local content/storytelling and ensure timely delivery of the same. Assist in writing, creating relevant content for Thalesxe2x80x99s strategic positioning in India with a focus on engineering capabilities & related matters including corporate ID for the country/ region, attractiveness for local candidates, among others.Media and Social Media: Manage the editorial content specifically around Thales in India, Thales in the Bangalore Area, the Bangalore Engineering Competence Centre development, local Q&As,xe2x80xa6);
  • Provide assistance to the India communications team (working together with India-based PR Agency and the Thales press team, etc.) for the organisation of press events/ preparation of relevant press releases/ articles/ interviews and social media posts for campaigns as per plan.
Follow-Up on operations and budget: Assist India Communications Director in securing and optimising the yearly budget in accordance with the regional communicationsxe2x80x99 plan (including exhibitions and events, advertising, multimedia collateral, etc) and supporting on function operations including KPIs, Scorecard & Reports specific.Support India communications team in other key global and local initiatives as and when required.WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:Previous in-house communication experience within a multinational company and/or an Agency (6-10 years).QUALIFICATION AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Previous in-house communication experience within a multinational company and/or an Agency
  • Bachelors / Masterxe2x80x99s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or related field.
  • Proficient in MS tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and graphic/ video editing tools. Photoshop / Illustrator a plus.
  • Fluent in English (written/verbal), French a plus.
