JOB OVERVIEW: The Commercial Finance Manager partners with business units to drive performance, manage budgets, and provide financial insights. Responsibilities include product business case approval, credit checks, forecasting, and reporting on risks and opportunities. As Country Finance Manager for South Africa and Australia, they oversee accounting operations, ensure compliance, support audits, and collaborate on SAP and IT projects.

KEY ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Commercial Finance:


• A business partner who can partner with all levels and functions across the company. Someone who takes a consultative approach, working with business unit leaders, Sales and Marketing, and others to impact the business.
• Be a business partner and help commercial team to achieve topline and margin
• New products business case approval followed up by actual performance monitoring
• Performing credit checks for the customers before releasing orders
• Work with Supply Chain and Sales team to ensure availability of product
• Participate in Annual budgeting process in collaboration with different departments
• Provide accurate and timely financial forecasts, highlight potential risks and opportunities
• Continuously monitor budget performance and provide insights to drive decision making
• Proactively identify gaps and variances in financial performance against targets
• Prepare comprehensive reports detailing trends, opportunities and potential risks
• Active contribution and participation to S&OP meetings (sales and operations planning)
• Present findings to leadership, providing recommendations for corrective actions

Country Finance Manager - South Africa and Australia:

• Collaborate with different stakeholders to manage accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, G/L, Cost Accounting, Inventory accounting and Revenue Recognition.
• Develop, implement and ensure compliance with Internal policies, procedures and guidelines
• Provide all required information to internal and statutory auditor and ensure smooth and timely completion of the audit
• Ensure compliance with accounting, tax and other relevant statutory requirements


Develop and maintain financial accounting systems for accounts payable, accounts receivable and credit control
• Assist Finance controller in ensuring trade compliance by liaising with bankers
• Contribute in preparing working file for ascertaining and transfer pricing for the group transactions.
• Assist SCM & IT team in executing Accounting setup related changes in SAP environment
• Prepare working and supporting for bringing budgetary control for operation cost
• Prepare for legal entity board meetings
• Collaborate with external advisors to ensure compliance to local regulations
• Partner with business teams on pricing, credit allowance and profitability evaluation
• Supports efforts to seek local financing and working capital management
Miscellaneous Tasks:

• Support in quarter end and year end audits from a business perspective
• Support in Internal Audit
• Work with various stakeholders to formulate 5 year Long Range Plan (LRP)
• IT Projects:
• Development of Qliksense Dashboards in close coordination with the IT Team
• Support in SAP HANA implementation
