With over 145 billion engagements annually, Sinch is the 2nd largest cPaaS and messaging provider worldwide.As we continue to grow, we're looking for a talented AR & Collections Assistant Manager / Manager to join our Finance team. This role will be based in our Bangalore Location in India.If you're passionate about finance, have experience in AR and collections, and are ready for new challenges, this role is for you.We require an experienced credit controller who is resilient and thrives in a progressive and ever-changing environment. You will assist in improving and maintaining a ledger where we "net" AR and AP balances for a percentage of our customers, who are also our suppliers, whilst chasing any remaining credit balances on these accounts and balances on our standard customer accounts.

  • 85% of the overall ledger will involve overseeing the "netting" process.
  • 15% of the role will be a more standard credit collections role.
Requirements:Daily Tasks to include:
  • Maintain and improve the ledger to meet the various company / teams KPI's
  • Following up with the internal teams on any queries / missing supplier invoices / unapproved invoices etc.
  • Monitor and track outstanding payments and follow up with customers as necessary
  • Reconciliation of accounts
  • Providing cash collection forecasts and making weekly adjustments
  • Weekly and monthly debtor reporting to various stakeholders.
  • Mitigate any risks to the business, going forward to avoid repeat issues, escalating both internally and externally where appropriate.
  • Checking contracts to ensure we are contractually obliged to complete netting.
  • Daily posting and allocating of incoming cash.
  • Adhere to Sinch's credit control policies and procedures
  • Collaborating with sales internal Accounts Payable and Cogs and Revenue Teams to resolve any billing or payment-related issues and ensure the netting process runs smoothly.
  • Prepare and present financial analysis and reports to management
  • Ad hoc duties and projects as required.
Skills & Experience:
  • Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in commercial environments preferably one of which must be international credit, dealing with global clients.
  • Confident to handle an individual contributor role.
  • Experience with multi-currency AR transactions.
  • Focused on delivery of company KPIs, working to deadlines.
  • Good account reconciliation skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and procedures
  • Proficient in using accounting software and MS Office, especially Excel
  • Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional team
Big plus
  • Familiarity within the Telecom business is a plus.
  • Strong excel and reporting skills.
  • Knowledge in AP but not essential
