Job Description

:

  • Manage daily operations of 100+ size teams; ensure quality standards and professionalism in the underwriting process.
  • Maintain knowledge and current understanding of all conventional underwriting guidelines for agencies and private investors
  • Assure compliance with policies and procedures outlined in the investor guides and contractual obligations, as well as state and federal regulations and regulatory requirements
  • Responsible for working with the underwriting staff to ensure all are made aware of changes/ updates in a timely and effective manner, and ensure business units are implementing and following compliant processes
  • Responsible for having controls across key metrics through regular audit
  • Determine and facilitate training and technical assistance as needed
  • Must be able to deliver projects on efficiency through initiatives and atleast 1 project every quarter through automation
  • Assist management in the development and maintenance of up-to-date policies and procedures in the underwriting process
  • Interact with clients and maintain frequent communications to ensure quality service and on time delivery of work product
  • Respond and report on client inquiries
  • Assist in identifying and resolving issues and policy questions from auditors and clients
  • Maintain detailed milestone reports
  • Preparation of all reports by function and client on a monthly basis
  • Submit regular updates to manager
  • Regular review and approvals/declinations of employee's attendance and time-off requests; manage overtime hours of underwriting staff
  • Adhere to the companies "Core Values"
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
  • Responsible for hiring and maintaining training schedules
  • Should be driving ongoing trainings and certifications to maintain 90% utilization of all staff aligned to him/her
  • Work closely with Training and Quality team to address training need and error trend analysis
  • Should be on top of all the errors/escalations marked from clients and external parties and have a corrective action plan to ensure its addressed and not repeated in future
Qualifications:

Minimum 10-12 years of experience in managing US mortgage operations for a leading mortgage lender or a bank in the US.
