The team is focused on improving Collections, Recovery and Servicing Solutions performance, by building BI solutions to support Operations Leaders. This includes key performance indicators for cardholders and accounts, as well as metrics to support strategy development and execution.Role Summary - What you\'ll accomplish as a Business Systems Analyst:Solicit and document business requirements for the Business Intelligence & Insights team within the Collections & Recovery organization as it builds new business intelligence products and enhances existing solutions. Serve as a primary point of contact with customers to understand stakeholder needs and translate opportunities into actionable items to enhance the Business Intelligence (BI) inventory; write and execute test plans and test scripts around the same, perform data validation and data integrity checks; support ad hoc requests for reports and other data needs; support the current inventory of reports.Key Responsibilities:Champion Customers: Establish strong working partnerships with stakeholders and key personnel across Collections and Recovery to solicit and document requirements for new and enhanced business intelligence products.Relate and Inspire: Act as a liaison and communications conduit between the user community and the development organization, especially regarding project status, issues, risks, other challenges, evolving requirements, and scope changes; assume a leading role on resolving outstanding issues and communicating their disposition.Documentation: Develop training material and videos, or other communication products.Validation: Write and execute test plans and scripts for new reports and dashboards and other Business Intelligence (BI) solutions; document and socialize results across the organization. Perform data validation checks between source systems and data warehouses and between data warehouses existing reports and/or new business intelligence products, whichever may be applicable.Strong Process Management and Adherence: Ensure rigorous adherence to established processes and standards, continuously monitoring and optimizing workflows to improve efficiency and effectiveness.Ensure that all team members comply with procedural guidelines.Manage Communication: Maintain clear and proactive communication with stakeholders. provide timely updates, address any concerns or issues, and ensure that all parties are informed of progress and changes through out the process.Data Exploration: Query data from multiple data sources, including but not limited to Oracle and SQL; to assist the development team by packaging requirements into working code.Perform data steward functions, especially around consistency and governance.Create and manage database objects, constraints, indexes, functions, views, triggers and stored procedures using SQL Management StudioBe proactive and leverage data analytics to derive actionable insights for continuous improvementParticipate in strategic initiatives and identify downstream needs and opportunities.Regularly and effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical team members to glean the information you need.Gain knowledge of BI inventory to support general requests and questions about our products/reports; Educate and otherwise train users around the utilization of new business intelligence products.Provide ad hoc support in the form of functional data research, report generation, and analytical support.Support the current inventory of reports, when needed, by publishing the outputs; Develop training material and videos, or other communication products.Perform special assignments and other duties, as required.Identify process improvement opportunities within the business and use business intelligence products to help them save wasted time, rework etc.Required Skills/Knowledge:Bachelors degree with 2 to 4 years of experience between Collections and/or business intelligence and/or requirements documentation and/or testing/data validation; OR in lieu of a degree, 4 to 6 years of experience between Collections and/or business intelligence and/or requirements documentation and/or testing/data validationMinimum 2+ years of experience/exposure to Collections or Financial Services systemsMinimum 2+ year of experience acquiring data (e.g., SQL, Business Objects, etc.)Minimum 2+ years of experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Desired Skills/Knowledge:Strong attention to detail with a high regard for quality, strong organization, and time management skills.Experience working with large volumes of data from multiple data sources, primarily Oracle and SQL Server.Excellent communication and collaboration skills; must be able to work with and communicate across many functional organizations.Ability to work collaboratively as well as independently.Ability to propose alternative data options; recommend, drive, and implement the most efficient solutions.Knowledge of the Synchrony application landscape or, alternatively, some prior exposure to Credit, Collections or Financial Services systems.Knowledge of the Synchrony application landscape or, alternatively, some prior exposure to Collections or Financial Services systems.Eligibility Criteria:Bachelors degree with 2 to 4 years of experience between Collections and/or business intelligence and/or requirements documentation and/or testing/data validation; OR in lieu of a degree, 4 to 6 years of experience between Collections and/or business intelligence and/or requirements documentation and/or testing/data validation.Work Timings: 2pm to 11pm IST(This role qualifies for Enhanced Flexibility and Choice offered in Synchrony India and will require the incumbent to be available between 06:00 AM Eastern Time - 11:30 AM Eastern Time (timings are anchored to US Eastern hours and will adjust twice a year locally).
