About the department

The Clinical Reporting unit in GBS has seen a tremendous growth curve and has become an integral part of the Global Clinical Reporting community in a short span of 6-7 years, since its inception in 2011. The team is a dynamic mix of enthusiastic and qualified skilled Medical Writers, Disclosure Medical Writers, Publishers and Document Controllers with Masters/PhD in life sciences, pharmacology, medicine, etc. The team is full of commitment, passion, skills, and talent with broad knowledge on different therapeutic areas and regulatory requirements for submissions. The team has an average experience of 7-8 years in writing and reviewing regulatory documents and publications. We use our scientific expertise to drive clear and impactful communication on the conduct and outcome of clinical trials. Apart from writing and publishing regulatory documents, the team is also responsible for distribution of documents (CONNECT portal) and largely contributes to NN\'s regulatory commitments by being involved in public disclosure activities.

The position

As a Manager of Medical Writing, responsibilities include lead and manage a team in Rare Diseases, Obesity & NASH projects. You will drive LCM activities of established products and ensure effective coaching and mentoring of team members to enhance performance and support individual development. Plan resources for all deliverables and drive continuous improvement with a quality mindset. You will have to communicate the clinical data in a clear and concise manner. You will contribute to process improvements, knowledge sharing, skill building, and mentor and train other medical writers as needed and maintain good relationship with the stakeholders and colleagues.

  • Lead, manage and drive the team for medical writing tasks in Rare Diseases, Obesity & NASH projects and drive the LCM activities of the established products.
  • Set directions and manage the team to meet the department and organization\'s business goals according to Novo Nordisk Way and Ensure effective coaching and mentoring of team members to enhance performance and support individual development.
  • Plan resources for all deliverables from the team to ensure optimal and flexible use of resources in the department while driving continuous improvement and quality mind-set with compliance to Novo Nordisk Quality Management System.
  • Ensure planning and follow up of business and budget targets for the department and Secure cross organisational collaboration
Qualification

You are expected to have the below skills and knowledge:
  • Masters /MD/ PhD in Life Sciences or Medicine equivalent.
  • 1-3 years\' experience in people management either from project or line management with good people skills is preferred.
  • \xe2\x89\xa56 years of experience in clinical medical writing activities within pharmaceutical/CRO industry
  • Thorough business and R&D value chain understanding, including thorough understanding of regulatory processes and requirement
  • Experience with collaboration across professional and regional borders.
  • Experience working under quality requirements such as GxP and ISO.
  • Ability to engage and build effective and high performing teams.
