Job Designation : Manager adaptation This Job description refers to the core aspects of the position. In daily life, corresponding to the nature of the position or arising out of operational necessities, adjustments might occur and have to be fulfilled.

Purpose of this position
----------------------------

• The Head of Adaptation Services oversees all aspects of adaptation related customer fulfillments within his/her adaptation team.
• Together with the other adaptation team leads he/she is balancing operational aspects of G+D's global adaptation community.
• He/she is leading a team of individual contributors.
• He/she ensures seamless workflows within and between the parts of the team, with clearly defined accountabilities and processes, aligning with his/her peers, following global standards. Continuous improvement in efficiency is his/her day-to-day charter.
• His/her team has impact on these main areas:
• Enablement of industry-leading positive user experience by providing best in class currency adaptations, ensuring safe and efficient cash cycles.
• Driving technical and process adaptation excellence & efficiency within our global adaptation network.
• Consulting and training for our internal and external customers in all aspects of machine based banknote evaluation.



The Head of Adaptation Services is closely cooperating with the other adaptation teams and members within the department as well as globally, with the other Global Service functions in headquarter and regions (especially with the regional Adaptation Heads), with interfacing CB/PW an COMM teams as well as Operations, Quality, IT and others.His/her proactive, transparent and collaborative mindset develops the team's contribution to the next level, becoming a state of the art pillar of the Service Organization, contributing to outstanding customer satisfaction, cost saving and - wherever meaningful - revenue contribution.


Roles & Responsibilities / Tasks

Functional• Adaptation Solution definition, scheduling, implementation for for respective team
• Global Adaptation Network performance, workload balancing and governance
• Customized adaptation & customer onboarding
• Workflow & process definition, documentation and governance within the scope of the role
• Injecting and driving permanent improvement mindset
• Define, maintain and provide department KPI dashboard
• Compliance
• Budget Management
• People Management
• Creating a work-environment that fosters collaboration, development of talent and employee enthusiasm
• Ensuring all staff in his/her area of responsibility are supported to achieve and maintain excellence in execution
• Preparing and maintaining job descriptions for each role in the organization
• Perform goal review and performance feedback min. once a year
• Conduct and support feedback dialogue along the G+D "inspiring performance" guidelines

• Instigate own personal and professional development needs

• Quality and performance of the global adaptation network:
• Global teams ready to serve rollout of new sensors, adaptation related algorithms and features on-time, i.e. aligned with respective product ramp-up and market entry schedules
• Adaptations complying with respective specifications and approved/accepted by customer



Business Processes

• (To satisfy our shareholders and customers, what business processes should we excel at?)
• Key processes and workflows documented and constantly optimized
• On time delivery of adaptation aspects to PEP and PLM
• Training and support provided to the global adaptation teams

Requirements: Personality / Skills / Professional Qualification & Experience
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

• Engineering / technical degree
• >5 years of experience in international engineering / service management functions
• In depth understanding and expertise in currency adaptation environment
• Min. 5 years' experience in management
• High level of intercultural competencies, management and teamwork, with the ability to enthuse people
• Strong coordination, communication, negotiation and presentation skills
• fluent in English
