ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIESPrimary Position Objectives Manager - Transport & DistributionKey responsibilities

• All safety protocols are to be strictly followed as per DPW standards.
• To oversee movements to and from the Port.
• To coordinate with service providers for PNR, PN-45, Annexure IV, En block, and Bond recredit with customs.
• To coordinate with the team to generate DRF/Form-13 on time.
• To coordinate with the terminal for dispatching containers with priority.
• To track import containers terminal-wise and CFS-wise to avoid storage charges.
• To ensure the dispatch of containers from the port to CFS within the free period.
• Priority containers to be delivered as customer requirements.
• To prioritize the placement of our own trailers and use market vehicles only when necessary.
• To minimize the engagement of market vehicles by coordinating with the CFS-Transport team and advocating for the use of more own vehicles.
• To coordinate with port staff for faster dispatches.
• To provide a daily report on PNR movement, terminal-wise, vessel-wise, and CFS-wise pendency.
• To coordinate with movement staff and ensure increased turnaround of trailer trips.
• To conduct periodic inspections of trailers in operating areas.
• Empanelling more vendors for faster despatches.
• Co-ordination with Procurement team for enrolling agreement, PR, PO processes.
• Co-ordination with Finance team for providing month on month expenses provisions, Cost booking and aligning with Finance reports.
• To coordinate with vendors to receive their bills on time and verify and certify them for payment.
• To maintain a cordial liaison with port officials, especially with the traffic department, and resolve any issues that occur inside the port.
• Ensuring 100% OTM adoption for trips performed by our own vehicles and market vehicles

• Graduation
• At least 12-18 year experience in related areas supply chain transport.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Excellent negotiation skills.
• Excellent and updated knowledge about labour laws.
