Ensures customer orders are shipped and invoiced. Demands critical thinking abilities to facilitate resolution to both short term and long term service issues. Administers and processes a multitude of distributor, operator, and national account contracts, ensuring timely and accurate payments, and gross margin integrity.
Responsibilities:
The responsibilities of an International Load Planning (ILP) desk may include, but are not limited to the following customer service functions:

  • Process customer orders, plan & optimize shipments into loads
  • Update Oracle Transportation Management System (OTM) with current shipment information.
  • Provide visibility to management and the customer by tracking, process over-sight, auditing, researching and troubleshooting operational issues or functions.
  • Complete daily logs and trackers
  • Identify cost savings opportunities for the company
  • Coordinates with carriers to ensure on-time delivery by tracking trucks for pick-up, estimating times of arrival and delivery, and recovering loads when necessary
  • Provides load exception investigation and reporting
  • Weighs alternative financial decisions before taking action
  • Other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor
Qualifications:
  • Education & Experience:
  • Bachelorxe2x80x99s degree in business or related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in order management, customer service, or related roles.
  • Experience in Exports/Imports process is a plus
  • Experience on SAP is an added advantage.
Skills & Competencies:
  • Strong Customer Service background required, preferably in Supply Chain. A wide and detailed understanding of Exports, Order Fulfillment processes and procedures.
  • Clear understanding of Global Commerce dynamics, Exports process from United States to other countries.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Capacity for understanding logistics and sales
  • Basic knowledge of MS Office.
  • Problem-solving mindset with a customer-focused approach.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with internal teams and customers.
