What will your essential responsibilities include?The Finance Close team provides accounting support to various AXA XL legal entities based out of the Americas, UK, and Eurasia. The key activities of the team involve analysis of the Balance Sheet and Profit and loss including ratio analysis, preparation of balance sheet reconciliations along with commentaries, booking of various technical manual adjustments to incorporate entity level changes in GL, preparation of ceding treaty accruals, reconciliations for US and Europe geography, etc.\xc2\xb7 Preparation of Source system to GL and technical balance sheet reconciliations such as Receivable/Payable, Losses, Unearned premium, and Deferred acquisition cost.\xc2\xb7 Booking of manual adjustment to incorporate legal entity, operating units, and other chart field level restructuring/changes in General Ledger.\xc2\xb7 Booking of manual adjustment to correct ceding percentage changes, Ceded Re treaty accrual postings every quarter in General Ledger.\xc2\xb7 Collaboration within/outside the team (including the BU Controllers/Business Partners) for the timely cleanup of the open reconciling items.\xc2\xb7 Posting of the manual journal entries in the EBS/HFM as and when needed.\xc2\xb7 Preparing analysis/reports and reconciliations on various ad-hoc requests as and when requested.\xc2\xb7 Assist the Controllership team with quarter-end close activities, manage and work on ad-hoc requests.\xc2\xb7 Assist in managing requests from both internal and external auditors and the internal financial controls team to provide requested documentation, general ledger balances, and other ad-hoc requests from auditors.Other responsibilities may be added.You will report to the Manager.QualificationsSHARE your talent
Were looking for someone who has these abilities and skills:Required Skills and Abilities:\xc2\xb7 CA with post-qualification experience in accounting and financial reporting.\xc2\xb7 Graduate (B.Com)/Post-Graduate (M. Com/MBA Finance)/CA intermediate with post-qualification experience in accounting and financial reporting.\xc2\xb7 Work experience and knowledge in the R2R domain will be preferred.Desired Skills and Abilities:\xc2\xb7 Robust communication & and interpersonal skills to work effectively with internal/external teams across the globe.\xc2\xb7 Intermediate IT skills (MS Excel, MS Access, Word)\xc2\xb7 Organized, methodical, and able to deal effectively with multiple priorities and multitasking.\xc2\xb7 Candidates with insurance Industry experience would be preferred.FIND your futureAXA XL, the P&C and specialty risk division of AXA, is known for solving complex risks.
