Location: Pune

Status: Permanent, Full Time

Why are we hiring a Management Accountant? We're on the hunt for a Management Accountant to strengthen our Finance team in India! Manager as part of our company's growth.


In conjunction with and reporting to the Group Financial Reporting Manager, responsible for the production of month-end management accounts pack consistently within the specified deadlines.

Working proactively with other team members and departments to improve processes where opportunities for improvement can be identified.

What are you responsible for?


Management Accounts

• Responsible for the completion of monthly management accounts.
• Responsible for ensuring that entries in respect of cost accruals and journal entries are accurate and reflect the costs incurred in the relevant month.
• Responsible for completing revenue recognition for all group companies allocated to the role.
• Responsible for reconciling all balance sheet accounts.
• Responsible for the review of departmental costs to provide meaningful explanation of movements against forecast.
• Working with the rest of the Finance team and other individuals who contribute to the monthly accounts to ensure that all inputs are completed within the specified deadlines.



Year-end Accounts



• Assisting in the production of the year-end statutory accounts schedules ready for the annual audit.
• Working directly with the group auditors to assist with the audit testing processes.
• Ensure adherence to our documented Quality Management System in all tasks associated with this role
• Adherence to the Company's Quality Management System to ensure that all work is handled Securely, Professionally and Diligently

Skills, Knowledge and Experience:



• Knowledge of producing monthly accruals, prepayments and double entry book-keeping.
• Knowledge of managing Purchase ledger.
• Knowledge of computerised accounting packages.
• Experience of producing month-end management accounts.
• Experience of working to and consistently meeting set deadlines.
• Ability to prioritise tasks and communicate effectively with stakeholders on progress against those tasks.
• Ability to work effectively with stakeholders whenever required
• Association of Accounting Technicians qualification or part qualified CIMA student
