Maintenance Technician
Job Description
A maintenance electrician's job description includes:
Maintenance and repair: Maintenance electricians install, operate, maintain, modify, service, and repair electrical systems, equipment, and components.
Troubleshooting: They inspect and test electrical systems, locate and diagnose faults and malfunctions, and determine the root cause of electrical problems.
Preventative maintenance: They perform planned preventative maintenance work, such as developing and implementing a preventative maintenance plan.
Documentation: They document the cost of repairs and services, and analyze and document test results.
Wiring: They interpret electrical wiring diagrams and schematics, and determine methods and requirements for wiring circuits.
Power supplies: They monitor and repair highly regulated power supplies.
