Maintenance Manager SIGNALLING





PURPOSE OF THE JOB





• Support the Project Manager during Defect liability period(DLP) and maintenance contract of a Signaling as per the contract.
• Involve in Preventive as well as corrective maintenance
• Day to day signaling failure reporting to the concerned department.

Update tickets opening and closure at site on Asset Management tool


• Once a solutionis defined , implement at the site.

MAIN RESPONSABILITIES





• Follows a pre-defined maintenance schedule as applicable
• Attends all type of signaling gear in SER Rooms like ATS,ATC, IXL ,PDC etc,
• Prepare failures and intervention report.
• Closely work with the customer O&M team to attend any anomaly during the DLCMP period.
• Collect failure data from the O&M team.
• Checks failure cards /gears on test bench as a double check
• Attending Punch points along with the site team.
• Assist the Signalling in carrying out all level of preventive and corrective maintenance activities on the automatic train control system covering System Management Centre, , central control (vital and non-vital), vehicle on-board equipment and lineside equipment- Point machine etc
• Install, service and repair signalling and train control systems located in operations control centre, signalling equipment room, station signalling equipment rooms, depot signalling equipment rooms, along trackside and on-board trains;
• Carry out repair and maintenance work with the use of hand, machine, electrical and electronic tools and reference to technical drawings, signalling schematics, manuals, procedures and instructions;
• Replace faulty signalling equipment, handover/taken back to the electronics workshop for repair; Knowledge and competence in technical standards will be regularly assessed;
• Maintain accurate maintenance records of automatic train control system and equipment performance, work accomplished and other information using a computerized maintenance management system;
• Ensure the maintenance tools and equipment are maintained in good condition both before and after job activities;
• Perform shift and emergency duties when required; ? Perform and carry out duties as instructed/ directed by the PM.



MAIN REQUIRED COMPETENCES





Educational Requirements: Engineering Diploma/Degree in Electronics& Communication /Electrical/Instrumentation





Mandatory:


• Engineering Degree in Electronics& Communication /Electrical/Instrumentation/Computer science

Desirable:


• Engineering Degree in Electronics& Communication /Electrical/Instrumentation/Computer science



Experience 8+years in Signaling





Mandatory:


• He should have minimum 8 +years of railway signaling experience in testing and commissioning , troubleshooting etc .

Desirable:


• Knowledge of Installation / testing and commissioning/Maintenance of Signaling system.
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance/corrective maintenance of any safety critical system.
