Job Description

We are seeking a skilled

Maintenance Technician

to ensure the smooth operation and maintenance of printing and packaging machinery. The ideal candidate will have expertise in mechanical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair work to minimize downtime and enhance production efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of

printing and packaging machinery

(e.g., flexo printing machines, rotogravure, laminators, slitters, die-cutting, and sealing machines). Diagnose mechanical issues and carry out repairs to ensure minimal production interruptions. Conduct routine inspections and replace defective machine components as needed. Troubleshoot mechanical faults and suggest improvements to enhance equipment performance. Ensure proper alignment, lubrication, and calibration of machine parts. Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and machine manuals. Collaborate with the production team to resolve breakdown issues quickly. Maintain inventory of spare parts and tools required for maintenance work. Comply with safety guidelines and industry standards while working on machinery. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and report major issues to the supervisor.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Educational Qualification:

ITI - Fitter or

Diploma in Mechanical Engineering

Experience:

2+ years in machine maintenance within the printing & packaging industry (preferred). Strong knowledge of

hydraulics, pneumatics, gear systems, and conveyors

. Ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues and perform welding, fitting, and fabrication work when required. Understanding of electrical and electronic controls in machinery is an added advantage. Hands-on experience with tools like wrenches, calipers, micrometers, and measuring devices. Good problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure. Awareness of workplace safety protocols and preventive maintenance techniques.
