Facility Maintenance and Repair:
Oversee routine maintenance and repair of the hotel's facilities, including guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas.
Ensure all electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems are operating efficiently.
Address maintenance issues promptly to minimize downtime and inconvenience to guests.
Preventive Maintenance:
Develop and implement a preventive maintenance program for all equipment and facilities.
Schedule regular inspections and maintenance tasks to prevent breakdowns and extend the life of equipment.
Maintain records of maintenance activities and inspections.
Staff Supervision:
Supervise and coordinate the activities of maintenance staff and contractors.
Provide training and guidance to maintenance team members.
Ensure maintenance staff follow safety protocols and standard operating procedures.
Guest Service:
Respond to maintenance requests from guests and hotel staff in a timely and courteous manner.
Ensure that maintenance issues are resolved quickly to maintain guest satisfaction.
Monitor guest feedback regarding maintenance issues and implement improvements as needed.
Vendor and Contractor Management:
Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for specialized maintenance services.
Monitor the quality of work performed by contractors and ensure compliance with hotel standards.
Negotiate contracts and manage relationships with service providers.
Inventory and Resource Management:
Manage the inventory of maintenance supplies, tools, and equipment.
Ensure that all necessary materials are available for maintenance tasks.
Monitor and control maintenance costs, ensuring efficient use of resources.
Health and Safety Compliance:
Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations.
Conduct regular safety inspections and audits.
Implement and enforce safety protocols to protect guests, staff, and property.
Energy Management:
Monitor and optimize the hotel's energy consumption.
Implement energy-saving measures and initiatives.
Maintain records of energy usage and savings.
Emergency Response:
Coordinate emergency maintenance and repair activities to minimize disruption to guests.
Develop and implement emergency response plans for critical equipment failures.
Ensure that maintenance staff are trained to handle emergencies effectively.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Maintenance Manager - CMM) are a plus.
Experience: 3+ years of experience in maintenance management, preferably in the hospitality industry.
Skills:
Strong technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
