Post - Maintenance engineer (Manager)

Key Responsibilities

• Team Management:
• Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of fitters and electricians.
• Assign tasks and projects to team members based on their skills and workload.
• Provide training and development opportunities to team members.
• Routine Maintenance:
• Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of machinery and mechanical systems.
• Lubricate and clean machinery components to ensure optimal performance.
• Ensure the maintenance team follows established maintenance schedules.
• Troubleshooting and Repairs:
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical problems and determine how to correct them.
• Oversee and assist with the repair or replacement of broken or malfunctioning components.
• Ensure that repairs are performed efficiently and effectively.
• Preventative Maintenance:
• Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules to reduce the risk of equipment failure.
• Monitor the performance of mechanical and electrical systems and ensure they are running efficiently.
• Installation and Upgrades:
• Supervise the installation of new machinery and mechanical systems.
• Recommend and implement upgrades or modifications to improve efficiency and reliability.
• Safety and Compliance:
• Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations and standards.
• Conduct risk assessments and maintain safety records for all mechanical and electrical maintenance activities.
• Ensure the team adheres to safety protocols and wears appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Documentation and Reporting:
• Maintain detailed records of all maintenance activities, including repairs, replacements, and scheduled maintenance.
• Generate reports on equipment performance and maintenance activities for management review.
• Ensure the team accurately documents their work.
• Team Collaboration:
• Work closely with production teams to ensure minimal disruption to manufacturing processes.
• Coordinate with external contractors for specialized repairs and maintenance tasks.
• Foster a collaborative and positive work environment.

Skills and Qualifications

• Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in mechanical and electrical systems and machinery used in the factory.
• Experience: Prior experience in maintenance engineering within a manufacturing or industrial setting, with experience in a leadership role.
• Environment: Factories and industrial plants, often involving exposure to noise, and sometimes working in confined spaces or at heights.
