• Perform regular inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on electrical systems, equipment, and machinery, including conveyors, balers, compactors, pumps, and other waste processing equipment.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical faults and malfunctions to minimize downtime.
• Repair or replace wiring, fixtures, and other electrical components as needed.
• Calibrate and test electrical systems to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Assist in the installation of new electrical equipment and systems, including reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and equipment manuals.
• Upgrade and modify existing electrical systems to improve efficiency or adapt to operational changes.
• Adhere to local, state, and federal electrical codes, safety guidelines, and company policies to prevent accidents and ensure a safe work environment.
• Implement and follow lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures to safely shut down and repair equipment.
• Regularly inspect electrical systems for compliance with safety standards, addressing any hazards immediately.
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance work, repairs, and inspections for compliance and future reference.
• Report any safety hazards, equipment malfunctions, or electrical issues to the maintenance supervisor or plant manager.
• Participate in regular team meetings to discuss preventive maintenance schedules, safety practices, and continuous improvement initiatives.
