Job Responsibilities

The Maintenance and Electrician staff will be responsible for ensuring the hospital's infrastructure and equipment are functioning efficiently and safely. Key duties include:

Electrical Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain, and repair electrical systems, including wiring, lighting, outlets, and switches.
• Perform regular checks on hospital electrical equipment and machinery to ensure functionality and safety.
• Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues promptly.
• Install and replace electrical fixtures, such as fans, lights, and switches, as needed.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and electrical codes.

Maintenance Responsibilities

• Conduct regular inspections of the hospital premises to identify maintenance needs.
• Repair and maintain plumbing systems, including sinks, toilets, and water fixtures.
• Address HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) issues, ensuring optimal climate control in patient care areas.
• Handle basic carpentry tasks such as repairing doors, windows, and furniture.
• Maintain and repair medical gas systems and ensure continuous supply.
• Supervise contractors or vendors for specialized repairs or installations.
• Maintain proper records of maintenance activities and inventory of tools and supplies.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff or emergency situations.
• Keep the hospital's physical infrastructure clean, safe, and functional.

Qualifications and Skills

• ITI or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related field preferred.
• Proven experience in maintenance and electrical work, preferably in a healthcare setting.
• Knowledge of safety protocols and compliance standards for hospitals.
• Problem-solving skills and the ability to handle emergencies efficiently.
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, carpentry, and HVAC systems is a plus.

Shift Timing

• Flexible to work in shifts, including nights or weekends, as required.
