• 9 to 14 Years of Experience in Mainframe Datacom Administration
• Installing, configuring, and upgrading Datacom and Datacom-related software, including applying PTFs, following Change Management
• Tuning Datacom system parameters affecting the performance of DBDC regions and subsystems, with input from the Kyndryl Performance and Capacity Team
• Reviewing and analyzing all HIPER and High Priority fixes related to all software supported by the group and notifying appropriate management if applicable to the Kaiser Permanente environment
• Managing Datacom subsystem availability
• Performing quarterly security health checks
• Responding to security vulnerability alerts
• Maintaining license keys, as required, for any Datacom-related software in accordance with Asset Services
• Participating in Disaster Recovery activities
• Taking actions necessary, as defined by the Incident Management process, to address and resolve any incidents, problems, defects, ABENDS, or other Datacom issues
• Performing Problem determination using available monitoring software
• Referring problems determined to be the result of application code to the appropriate Kaiser team (application or DBA) to coordinate remediation activities

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Bachelorxe2x80x99s degree in computer science or a related field

• Engaging Level 2 Support or appropriate software vendors, as needed, to debug system Dumps

• Evaluating and requesting storage from the Kyndryl Storage team in support of software xe2x80x8bUpgrades.

• Notifying other KP or Kyndryl Support teams of any planned Datacom Changes that may affect their environment

• Experience in problem debugging and Vendor specific PMR ticketing procedure
