Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Machinist with more than 5 years of industry experience and expertise in manual cylindrical grinding, lathe, and milling machine operations. The ideal candidate shall have the ability to read and understand engineering drawings and proficiency in using precision measuring instruments such as vernier calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and bore gauges. As an expert in manual machining, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and troubleshooting machines while ensuring high-precision manufacturing, quality control, and safety compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Machine Operation: Set up and operate manual cylindrical grinding, lathe, and milling machines to produce complex, high-precision parts according to engineering specifications.
• Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications to ensure parts meet the required dimensions and tolerances.
• Measurement and Inspection: Use vernier calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and bore gauges to measure and inspect parts, ensuring they meet exact quality standards.
• Machine Setup and Tooling: Independently select and install tools, fixtures, and workpieces based on part specifications and setup requirements.
• Troubleshooting and Maintenance: Diagnose machine issues, perform preventive maintenance, and ensure machines are operating efficiently.
• Training and Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior machinists, helping them develop their skills in machine operations and quality control.
• Safety and Compliance: Enforce safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment to ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of machining processes, inspections, and machine settings for traceability and quality assurance.

Skills:

• Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Expertise in using vernier calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and bore gauges to perform precise measurements.
• Strong understanding of machining processes, tool selection, and machine setup.
• Experience in troubleshooting machine issues and performing regular maintenance.
• Ability to mentor junior machinists and guide them in their development.
• Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving, and time management skills.

Pay: ?20,000.00 - ?25,000.00 per month
