Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced and knowledgeable Machinery and Plant Head with a solid background in civil construction machinery. The ideal candidate will be a Mechanical Engineer (Automobile) with a minimum of 15 years of experience in the construction industry. This role requires expertise in the maintenance, monitoring, and management of a wide range of construction machinery and plant equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintenance Management: Oversee the maintenance of machinery including excavators, back loaders, Hywa, bitumen pavers, road rollers, batch mix plants (cement, bitumen, and RMC) and various constructions machinery and equipment's.
• Performance Monitoring: Track and analyse the output and performance of all machinery, ensuring optimal operation and productivity.
• Cost Management: Evaluate and manage the costs associated with machinery operation, maintenance, and hiring.
• Hiring and Procurement: Oversee the hiring of machinery and ensure the availability of necessary equipment for various projects.
• Fuel and Maintenance Monitoring: Monitor diesel usage, maintenance schedules, and minimize idling times to ensure efficient operations.
• Reporting and Analysis: Prepare detailed reports and presentations on machinery performance, costs, and other relevant metrics. Present findings and recommendations to senior management.
• Decision Support: Provide insights and suggestions to the management for making informed decisions regarding machinery and plant operations.
• Compliance and Safety: Ensure all machinery and plant operations comply with safety standards and regulations.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Educational Background: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering (Automobile).
• Experience: Minimum of 15 years in the construction industry with extensive experience in managing and maintaining civil construction machinery.
• Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of maintenance and operation of various construction machinery including excavators, back loaders, hywa, bitumen pavers, road rollers, and batch mix plants.
• Software Proficiency: Proficiency in various software and ERP systems related to machinery and plant management.
• Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills to monitor machinery performance and cost management.
• Leadership Abilities: Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage a team and work collaboratively with other departments.
• Communication Skills: Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to prepare detailed reports and present findings to senior management.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing issues.
• Attention to Detail: High attention to detail and organizational skills to ensure efficient machinery and plant operations.

Preferred Attributes:

• Experience with ERP systems related to machinery and plant management.
• Certification in relevant machinery and plant maintenance courses.
• Familiarity with the latest industry trends and technologies
