Additional information can be found at www.gpstrategies.com.Title: R&D Instructional Designer, Global Learning SolutionsJOB SUMMARYThe R&D Instructional Designer, Global Learning Solutions (GLS) reports to the R&D Instructional Design Manager, with responsibilities to support Global Learning & Performance (GL&P) Learning Professionals in R&D across all regions and sites in US, Europe, Intercontinental, and JAPAC.This position is responsible for designing learning solutions that are aligned with the organizations objectives and strategies and with business needs. The ID demonstrates best practices in Instructional Design while delivering best-in-class performance support, training, and communications solutions for clients. The ID follows creative design standards to ensure all assigned deliverables are met.The ID owns end-to-end instructional design responsibilities for training projects (e.g., Training needs analysis, design documentation, writing and editing of content drafts and storyboards, and quality control of final deliverables). The ID produces deliverables such as content outlines, design documents, style guides/templates, storyboards for infographics, workshop materials, performance support tools, and eLearning modules.The ID collaborates across the GL&P community and the Capability Center to ensure that GLS is adding value and meeting business needs. The ID ensures learning content is produced effectively, efficiently, and in line with the priorities identified by functional governance.1. Consults with functional learning partners to ensure the most appropriate learning solutions are proposed2. Provides end-to-end instructional design support on learning projects3. Employs ID best practices in the execution of project deliverables, including design documents, content outlines, storyboards for workshop materials, performance support tools, and eLearning modules4. Works - as needed - with vendors, shared service providers, and contract workers to develop and support delivery of training deliverables5. Supports the identification of media assets6. Works with learning clients to ensure governance, design, and development processes are followed7. Maintains functional partnerships with appropriate functional representatives8. Provides thought leadership on new and innovative approaches to Instructional Design9. Executes on the annual goals of the group and the department10. Partners with GL&P colleagues to identify opportunities for collaboration, process improvement, and resource sharing11. Attends key commercial meetings to ensure quality, delivery when required, and iterations of key learning initiatives and workshops12. Facilitates design workshops with the departments L&P and marketing teams for high priority projects and/or products.Basic Qualifications\xc2\xb7 Masters degreeOR\xc2\xb7 Bachelors degree & 2 years of Learning & Performance experienceOR\xc2\xb7 Associates degree & 6 years of Learning & Performance experienceAND\xc2\xb7 Comprehensive knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional designPreferred Qualifications\xc2\xb7 2+ years of experience in training or instructional design within the pharmaceutical industry\xc2\xb7 2+ years of experience designing eLearning, ILT, OJT, performance support, and other learning solutions\xc2\xb7 Experience conducting training needs analysis in order to identify appropriate learning solutions\xc2\xb7 Experience supporting training projects from beginning to end\xc2\xb7 Experience creating designs for Research and Development clients, including training related to compliance (e.g., Good Clinical Practice, Pharmacovigilance, inspection readiness) and clinical trial execution\xc2\xb7 Experience in clinical trial-related role and / or knowledge of the clinical trial / drug development process\xc2\xb7 Expertise partnering with R&D clients to create engaging and comprehensive programs that elevate technical expertise for key roles in Research, Global Regulatory Affairs and Safety, Global Development, and Global Medical Affairs\xc2\xb7 Strong consulting skills\xc2\xb7 Good awareness of learning technology solutions and eLearning design software such as the Articulate suite; experience working with rapid design solutions\xc2\xb7 Collaborative work style with ability to solicit input, influence, and support decision making\xc2\xb7 Project management skills\xc2\xb7 Strong service orientation and high standards of excellence and business enablement\xc2\xb7 Strong written and oral communication skillsGP Strategies Corporation is one of the world's leading talent transformation providers.
