What success looks like in this role:

: SAP Print Administrator


Configure and manage the SAP printing subsystem for all SAP instances. Transmission Medium:


• Scope: Specify and manage various communication channels for output dispatch.
• Activities: Configuration of transmission methods (like print, fax, email), integration with external systems, and troubleshooting delivery

issues.


Spool and Print Management:




Print Administrator


- Scope: Manage the actual delivery of documents, be it digital dispatch or physical print. - Activities: Monitoring spool requests, managing


printer configurations, troubleshooting print errors, and ensuring timely delivery of outputs.


Work closely with Unisys and Client application teams to support the environment in agreed SLAs


Address the print specific use cases


The end user reports Missing Output from SAP (SP01 /SPAD) If the output cannot be found in VPSX (and perhaps reprinted directly from


there if it has been lost or picked up by another user in error), logon to SAP Systems and use SP01 to find out if the user has any jobs in SAP


Spool and troubleshoot if the print jobs were sent to VPSX to an "unexpected" printer.


The end user reports Slow Output from SAP (SM37) - If the output is delayed and the output cannot be found in VPSX, SAP administrator will log on to SAP Systems and check the queue length to the device (how many jobs are waiting to transfer to VPSX), if the message


"Waiting for Formatter" is seen, there are not enough spool work processes. A ticket to SAP Basis(Henkel) will be opened and SAP Basis


team will take the ownership.


If the queue length is huge and this occurring more than once, a ticket to SAP Basis team will be opened and SAP Basis team will take the


ownership.


SAP Administrator will ask the User if their output is generated from a particular batch job (they must know the name), if they do know the name then


Unisys will check the scheduler SM37 for that job and any output it has generated, or if it has failed. The output may have gone to an


"unexpected" printer in which case inform the user.


In case and the batch run has failed or produced no output, a ticket to SAP Basis team will be opened and SAP Basis team will take the


ownership


o Analyzes, designs, programs, debugs, and modifies software enhancements and/or new products used in local, networked, cloud-based or Internet-related computer programs. o Code may be used in commercial or end-user applications, such as materials management, financial management, HRIS, mobile apps or desktop applications products. o Using current programming language and technologies, writes code, completes programming, and performs testing and debugging of applications. o Completes documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance. May interact with users to define system requirements and/or necessary modifications. o Models and applies software engineering methods and techniques to the design, development, evaluation, integration, qualification and/or support of complex products, tools or technologies in one or more areas of expertise. o Often assumes technical and project leadership roles. o May function as a consultant or researcher. o May manage schedule, quality and technical solution on assigned projects in coordination with project leadership. May overs schedule, quality and technical solution performance of staff.

o Delivers and leads team in the delivery of Tier 2 remote hardware and software support services to clients to resolve product use and multi-product/platform problems, and/or questions relating to enterprise systems, networks and application software, as well as desktop applications that are beyond the scope of the client's first level help desk support function. o Provides referrals and/or dispatches to other service providers to ensure that client's service level and technical requirements are met. Interacts with clients in person or by telephone. o Answer questions about installation, operation, configuration, customization, and usage of second level remote hardware and software products. o Applies diagnostic techniques to identify problems, investigates causes and recommends solutions to correct failures. o Provides alerts and situation status information to both client and Unisys management. Coordinates critical client issues as well as new product and/or system implementations. o Monitors performance and ensures completion of operational processes including incident resolution, root cause analysis, change management, and continual service improvement in accordance with Service Level Agreements. o Prepares, approves and coordinates the implementation of technical documentation and ensures that technical and client documentation is clear, current, accurate and complete. o Identifies, develops and conducts training needs for other analysts and clients as appropriate. o May participate or lead defined projects activities. Initiates process improvements for internal and external clients. o May be required to work in rotational shifts (24x7 shifts applicable) and provide on call support if required. May function as a Shift Leader.


You will be successful in this role if you have:

o University degree or equivalent education and experience o Minimum of 5 years relevant experienceAdvanced knowledge in one of the technologies relating to enterprise systems, networks, backup, storage, cloud or a customer proprietary, COTS, or Unisys application. Have specific certifications on the respective domain, platform or application. oAbility to support multiple clients/ technologies as part of shared support delivery. oMust be client focused, display interpersonal skills and be an effective team member. oAbility to train and develop staff and/or client.
