We also use applied technology expertise to serve the defense, entertainment, material handling, aerospace, science, and renewable energy industries.Position SummaryPurposeWe are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Import Export specialist to join our team. As an Import Export specialist, you will play a crucial role in managing the logistics and documentation involved in international trade. You will work closely with the Import Export Manager to ensure the smooth flow of goods and compliance with customs regulations. The ideal candidate is proactive, possesses excellent communication skills, and has a strong understanding of import-export procedures.The Import Specialist oversees import transactions under the direction of the Trade Compliance Manager, Sr. Mgr-Logistics & Trade Compliance/SCM Manager.Duties & ResponsibilitiesFunctionsESSENTIAL\xc2\xa7 Responsible for interaction with Customs Brokers to ensure all imports are conducted in accordance with import regulations. Including, but not limited to, providing instruction on manner of import, HTS classifications and other documentation.

• Manage the import and export process by coordinating with suppliers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and other relevant parties to ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods.
• Prepare and review shipping and customs documents, including commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, bill of lading, and customs declarations.
• Coordinate with the logistics team to arrange transportation and track shipments to ensure on-time delivery and resolve any issues or delays.
• Ensure compliance with import-export laws and regulations by staying updated on changes in customs requirements and assisting with customs clearance procedures.
• Assist in the preparation of import and export documentation for audits and compliance checks.
• Maintain accurate records of import and export transactions, including invoices, shipping documents.
• Process, monitor, and maintain report for all Temporary Imports. This includes creating and maintaining a spreadsheet in SCM SharePoint with milestones to ensure TIB is properly closed to avoid penalties.
• Assists the various business units in determining import requirements.
• Knowledge of customs regulations, import-export laws, and international shipping procedures.
• Strong knowledge of HSN/HTS codes, healthy relations with Govt bodies .
• Proficient in using import-export software and tools, as well as Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to collaborate with various stakeholders.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work under pressure.
• Must have knowledge about CHA/DGFT/BIS/CHIMS/ETA etc
• Classify imported materials and components according to the HTS/HSN codes .

NON-ESSENTIAL\xc2\xb7 Provides support to all business units and to global trade operations related to import compliance.\xc2\xb7 Actively works across functions to ensure that import compliance is maintained while ensuring that overall organization objectives are supported.\xc2\xb7 Evaluate and track changes in import trade laws and regulations. Develop necessary changes in procedures as required by these changes.
