Requirements
• Easily identify areas in need of optimization
• Experienced with balancing budgets
• Knowledge of transportation systems for domestic as well as international transfers
• Logically grounded with critical-thinking skills
• Able to recognize the potential for problems
• Can organize data collections into understandable patterns
• ERP and supply chain software
• Import/export requirements knowledge
• Shipment coordinating
• Validating supplies
• Overseeing deliveries
• Updating logs
• Evaluating proposals
Responsibilities
• Strategically plan and manage logistics, warehouse, transportation and customer services
• Work with shipping lines, for import / export orders. Receive freight / insurance quotes, compile comparisons and plan and execute shipping orders
• Direct, optimize and coordinate full order cycle
• Liaise and negotiate with suppliers, manufacturers, retailers and consumers
• Keep track of quality, quantity, stock levels, delivery times, transport costs and efficiency
• Arrange warehouse, catalog goods, plan routes and process shipments
• Resolve any arising problems or complaints
• Supervise, coach and train warehouse workforce
• Meet cost, productivity, accuracy and timeliness targets
• Maintain metrics and analyze data to assess performance and implement improvements
• Comply with laws, regulations and ISO requirements
