Job Summary:We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Mid-Level Logistics Manager to oversee and manage our logistics operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and optimizing the flow of products from suppliers to customers, ensuring efficient and timely delivery. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to lead a team effectively. Candidate should be able to effectively manage a fleet size of 50 vehicles. Send vehicles to purchase Centers promptly. Carry out maintenance work of vehicles. Keep track of tire/battery replacement. Monitor vehicle log books.Key Responsibilities:
Logistics Planning and Coordination:
Develop and implement logistics strategies to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of products.
Coordinate with suppliers, manufacturers, and customers to streamline the supply chain.
Manage inventory levels to meet demand while minimizing excess stock.
Team Management:
Supervise and mentor a team of logistics coordinators and support staff.
Assign tasks, set performance goals, and conduct regular performance evaluations.
Provide training and development opportunities for team members.
Transportation Management:
Oversee transportation operations, including route planning, carrier selection, and freight negotiation.
Monitor transportation costs and implement measures to reduce expenses.
Ensure compliance with all transportation regulations and safety standards.
Warehouse Management:
Manage warehouse operations to ensure efficient storage, handling, and distribution of products.
Implement and maintain warehouse management systems (WMS) to track inventory and optimize space utilization.
Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure accuracy and quality control.
Process Improvement:
Identify areas for process improvement and implement best practices to enhance efficiency.
Utilize data analysis and logistics software to monitor performance and identify trends.
Develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
Customer Service:
Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by maintaining effective communication and resolving issues promptly.
Collaborate with the sales and customer service teams to address customer inquiries and concerns.
Reporting and Documentation:
Prepare regular reports on logistics performance, including key metrics and KPIs.
Maintain accurate records of all logistics activities, including shipments, inventory, and costs.
Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in logistics or supply chain management.
Proven track record of managing logistics operations and leading a team.
Strong knowledge of logistics software and warehouse management systems (WMS).
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Knowledge of transportation regulations and safety standards.
Preferred Qualifications:
Masters degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
Professional certification (e.g., APICS, CSCMP, Six Sigma).
Experience with international logistics and customs regulations.
Proficiency in data analysis and logistics software.
Working Conditions:
This position may require occasional travel to warehouses, distribution centers, and customer sites.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
