As a Medical Logistics Manager, our work depends on utilizing their experience to ensure the PMO advanced medical products are developed, following DoD requirements, and able to meet the acquisition timeline to make its way to the Warfighter. This includes executing all actions necessary to integrate newly developed pharmaceuticals, vaccines, and blood products into the Department of Defense medical supply chain.

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
  • Work in concert with the Project Manager (PjM), multiple Product Managers (PdM) and associated product management teams, to provide Integrated Product Support (IPS) to Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) for multiple products
  • Coordinate with a large network of matrixed organizations within the DoD, US Army, and other Federal agencies to ensure effective, efficient, and timely completion of the USAMMDA medical product development mission
  • Apply life cycle logistics management concepts and methodology to assigned projects and utilize a thorough working knowledge of IPS, DoD requirements determination, program planning, budget and execution, wholesale supply system, cataloging, and contract administration/ procurement to tasks
  • Conduct IPS element evaluations on supported tech base and advanced development medical and non-medical products in the USAMMDA portfolio to ensure products will be sustainable once fielded
  • Utilize knowledge of IPS elements and intent of the process and tailor the actions to best fit the managed product
  • Coordinate with other DoD activities, the manufacturer, the receiving unit, and other interested parties in the fielding of assigned systems, including the procurement mechanism and coordination with the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) and the Life Cycle Management Command (LCMC)
  • Develop, coordinate, maintain, and update supportability documents
  • Provide management and coordination for the maintenance and sustainment support to the DoD users, manufacturer, and the Services logistic points of contact
  • Prepare and update required management and acquisition documentation for programmatic briefings and reviews, including the Life Cycle Sustainment Plan for appropriate products in the portfolio
  • Perform multiple logistics actions to support the acceptance of medical materiel into the Army, Navy, and Air Force wholesale system to include requesting for a national stock number (NSN), and when needed, working with the Product Support Manager on type classification and a new Line Item Number (LIN), and assisting in the preparation of the Table of Organization and Equipment, Basis of Issue Plan, and Feeder Data
  • Be familiar with and be able to access and use the following online applications: Force Management System Web Site (FMSWeB), Defense Medical Material (DMM) Online, Army Equipping Enterprise System (AE2S), Theater Enterprise Wide Logistics System (TEWLS)
  • Participate in special projects, as required

WHAT YOU\'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
  • Education: Bachelor\'s Degree in related discipline (with a focus on logistics), or the equivalent combination of education, professional training, or work experience
  • Required Experience: 10 years of related lifecycle medical logistics experience within the Department of Defense medical supply chain; Operational or management experience as a logistics planner (medical logistics preferred) within the Department of Defense; Possess an operational understanding of the Department of Defense supply system and medical supply chain; Have working knowledge of related and ancillary disciplines and specialties such as testing, standardization, reliability and maintainability, safety, and configuration management; Knowledge/experience of the Department of Defense Acquisition System
  • Required Technical Skills: Knowledgeable of IPS elements as they pertain to pharmaceuticals, vaccines, and blood products; Understanding of the Army and DoD field medical force structure; Proficiency with MS Office Suite; Must possess excellent writing and verbal skills and be able to author supporting documentation for the DoD acquisition process and be able to brief medical logistics requirements to PdMs and PjMs
  • Security Clearance Level: No security requirements - Must be able to obtain a NACI(T1)
  • Required Skills and Abilities: Must possess effective communication skills, to include verbal, written and email correspondence, and the ability to work with senior leadership; Be detail oriented, personable, and able to multi-task
  • Preferred Skills: Medical research & development process experience

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $92,331 - $105,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
