The Logistics Manager will play a key role in supporting the following departments; warehouse, distribution, purchasing, and direct sales departments. You will have a thorough understanding of software systems used in logistics management and will be responsible for training employees in these departments as needed. The Logistics Manager has the tactical ability to lead a team of approximately 25 people. You ensure that the overall delivery of services meets the high standards that customers are accustomed to. The Logistics Manager works closely together and reports to the Operations Manager.
Your responsibilities will include:
Manage the different warehouses effectively.
Oversee local logistics of purchases and distribution systems.
Analyze existing routes and recommend improvements for efficiency.
Supervise procedures and personnel within the distribution department.
Report on purchase and inventory management.
Make recommendations for planning delivery and sales routes to improve efficiency.
Assist with the required maintenance tasks.
Train, coach, and motivate employees to ensure high performance.
Ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders.
Demonstrated integrity in all professional interactions.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate convincingly with all levels in the organization.
