Position Summary: The Logistics Executive/ Coordinator is responsible for managing and optimizing the company's logistics and supply chain processes to ensure efficient movement of goods, timely delivery, and cost-effective operations. This role involves coordinating with suppliers, managing inventory, and overseeing transportation to meet the organization's operational needs and goals.
Key Responsibilities:
• Inventory Management
• Monitor stock levels to ensure optimal inventory across all facilities.
• Conduct regular inventory audits and report discrepancies.
• Manage reorder levels and forecast demand in collaboration with other departments.
• Transportation and Distribution
• Coordinate with freight carriers, shipping companies, and other third-party logistics providers.
• Ensure timely and accurate delivery of products to clients or distribution centers.
• Optimize shipping routes, methods, and schedules to reduce transit time and cost.
• Supplier and Vendor Coordination
• Maintain relationships with suppliers and negotiate favorable terms, including pricing, delivery schedules, and payment terms.
• Evaluate supplier performance and provide feedback to improve service levels.
• Resolve issues related to order accuracy, delivery delays, or quality concerns.
• Documentation and Compliance
• Ensure all shipping and customs documents are complete and accurate.
• Comply with all relevant regulations, including import/export laws, safety standards, and environmental guidelines.
• Maintain records of all transactions, including receipts, invoices, and customs documents.
• Process Improvement
• Identify inefficiencies in logistics processes and propose solutions for improvement.
• Collaborate with other departments to implement changes that streamline operations.
• Utilize logistics software to monitor performance metrics and generate reports.
• Budgeting and Cost Management
• Track logistics costs and identify areas for cost reduction.
• Prepare and monitor the logistics budget in line with company objectives.
• Develop strategies to optimize logistics expenses without compromising quality.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
• 2-5 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or a related field.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Certification in logistics or supply chain management (e.g., APICS, CSCMP).
• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) is an advantage.
• Knowledge of import/export regulations and compliance standards.
