We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Logistics Executive to join our team in Bathinda. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing the entire logistics process, ensuring the efficient and timely movement of goods within the supply chain. This includes coordinating with suppliers, transportation companies, warehouses, and ensuring compliance with local regulations and company policies.
Key Responsibilities:
• Logistics Management
• Oversee the end-to-end logistics process, ensuring timely delivery of goods and materials.
• Coordinate with suppliers, third-party logistics providers, and customers to ensure smooth and efficient transportation.
• Manage and track shipments, ensuring compliance with regulations and company policies.
• Assist in planning and optimizing routes for cost and time efficiency.
• Inventory Control
• Maintain accurate records of inventory movements and stock levels.
• Ensure proper storage and handling of materials and goods in the warehouse.
• Collaborate with the warehouse team to track inventory and resolve discrepancies.
• Transportation & Vendor Coordination
• Work closely with transporters and third-party vendors to ensure the best freight rates and on-time deliveries.
• Evaluate and recommend improvements to the transportation process.
• Handle the preparation of necessary documentation for shipments, including invoices, packing lists, and delivery schedules.
• Documentation and Reporting
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation of all logistics-related activities.
• Prepare and maintain regular reports on logistics activities, including delivery schedules, costs, and inventory levels.
• Maintain records of transportation costs, delivery times, and vendor performance.
• Compliance and Safety
• Ensure that all logistics operations comply with local, regional, and international laws and regulations.
• Monitor and enforce safety standards during the transportation and storage of goods.
• Problem-Solving and Issue Resolution
• Address any transportation or logistics issues that arise, working with suppliers, carriers, and internal teams to find timely solutions.
• Resolve any delays, damages, or discrepancies in shipments, providing updates to relevant stakeholders.
• Customer Service
• Ensure customer satisfaction by ensuring timely deliveries and handling any customer complaints or queries regarding logistics.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 1-3 years of experience in logistics or supply chain management.
• Familiarity with transportation management systems (TMS) and logistics software.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Knowledge of local transportation and regulatory requirements.
