Logistics Coordinator job description:
Organizing and managing inventory, storage, and transportation. Analysing and optimizing logistical procedures. Reviewing, preparing, and routing purchase orders. Ensuring the safe and timely pick-up and delivery of shipments.
• Coordinating and monitoring supply chain operations.
• Managing distribution and shipment budgets.
• Coordinating with transportation to track the movements of shipments.
• Review of purchase orders to ensure accuracy and fixing shipment errors.
• Respond and follow up with all inquiries (written and verbal) for vendors and customers related to purchase orders.
• Work closely with Operations to mange inventory levels as needed.
• Utilize logistics IT to optimize procedures.
• Recruit and coordinate logistics staff according to availabilities and requirements.
• Supervise orders and arrange stocking of raw materials and equipment to ensure they meet needs
• Communicate with suppliers, vendors, Clients etc, Clients etc. to achieve profitable deals and mutual satisfaction
• Ensure timely schedules for client orders
• Maintain accurate and consistent records
• Address errors to promote client satisfaction
• Manage inventory databases
• Coordinate timely and accurate shipments
• Ensure accuracy of orders and shipping documents
• Identify and fix shipping errors
• Prepare calculation for bills and invoices
• Oversee production timelines
• Receive orders and add to inventory
Requirements and skills
• Proven experience as logistics coordinator.
• Maintain updated records of orders, suppliers & Vendor.
• Experience in customer service will be appreciated
• Knowledge of laws, regulations and ISO requirements.
• Ability to work with little supervision and track multiple processes
• Computer-savvy with a working knowledge of logistics software (ERP)
• Outstanding organizational and coordination abilities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Familiarity with best practices in supply chain management
• Ability to use data in making logistics more efficient
• Strong customer service capabilities
• Understanding of both warehouse and transportation management
• Capacity to multitask
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
