Role: Logistics Business Development Manager

Position Overview:
One of our clients in Bengaluru (an E-commerce firm) is looking for a Logistics Business Development Manager. Youll be responsible for acting as a strong interface between order processing to delivery. The goal is to succeed in the entire order cycle so as to enhance business development and ensure sustainability and customer satisfaction
Responsibilities:
- Identifying, qualifying, and securing business opportunities for logistics service
- Identifying the FTL requirements of the customers and appropriately coordinating with logistics vendors to fulfill those requirements
- Managing the logistics service demand by identifying vehicle partners
- Negotiating the freight rates with the various transporters for FTL & PTL shipments Vehicle hiring and placement on time
- Plan and manage logistics, transportation, and customer services
- Identify and partner with the right logistic carriers for transportation and negotiate rates and contracts.
- Develop strong relations and be updated on carriers, routes, and rates
- Develop and implement standard operating processes to scale and improve operations
- Coordinate with suppliers, transporters, and other vendors to succeed in the order cycle and enhance business development
- Meet cost, turnaround time, productivity, accuracy, and timeliness targets of the shipments
Requirements:
- 4-5 years of work experience in the line of logistics or Supply Chain Management
- Previous experience in FTL/LTL business development is mandatory
- Experience in a results-oriented environment with external customer interaction
- Good communication and negotiation skills
