Role Definition: The Supply Chain Services (SCS) group part of Product Support & Logistics Division currently has a job opening for a \xe2\x80\x98DART EDI Coordinator - Logistics Analyst\xe2\x80\x99 position located in Bangalore, India facility. Data Accuracy & Records Tracking (DART) Team Overview : The Data Accuracy & Records Tracking (DART) being part of SCS group is responsible for seamless execution of critical processes for Caterpillar manufacturing facilities in the areas of New Product Introduction (NPI), Material Requirement Planning (MRP), Electronic Data Interface (EDI), Shipping label and Analytics solutions. Supply Chain Services DART team delivers value by initiating and participating in business-critical projects and solutions. JOB PURPOSE : This position is responsible to improve inbound receiving efficiency for facilities that include Caterpillar manufacturing, logistics centers, and cross-dock facilities located globally through on time support on the daily ASN (Advance Shipment Notice) requests from facilities, manage Misdirected ASNs and coordinate with suppliers to ensure EDI ASN & SP20 shipping label to meet enterprise standards. Responsibilities:

• EDI enablement & training for new/existing suppliers
• Monitor & improve EDI ASN performance through effective collaboration with global suppliers and cross functional teams
• Collaborate with facility coordinators to identity and resolve EDI ASN issues
• Proactively identify issues and develop action plan to mitigate ASN issues
• Monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and ensure compliance
• Develop and improve SP20 (Shipping Label) compliance for suppliers
• Assisting in the development of process flows to track lead time by activity and identifying opportunities to reduce lead times.
• Identifying opportunities for improvements including cost, quality, and service of customer needs and issues.
• Implementing and maintaining monitoring systems to provide information on shipment status, shipped date, in transit location, estimated arrival date, and actual delivery date.
• Generating and analyzing reports of transportation costs and carrier performance. Planning and tracking lead times including compliance with related regulations.

Degree Requirement:

• Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in commerce/science/engineering or equivalent degree
• Minimum 4-6 years of experience in Supply chain management, Logistics, 3PL, Warehousing, Service parts Logistics and supplier performance management.

Transportation - MFG : Knowledge of transportation; ability to transport materials and goods to and from suppliers, distribution centers, manufacturing facilities and customers. Level Extensive Experience :

• Conducts joint planning with carriers to forecast short- and long-term transportation needs.

• Coaches others on using various approaches for assessing transportation alternatives and selecting optimum mode.

• Manages arrangements with all major modes of domestic transportation.

• Negotiates and monitors rates and service controls with major carriers.

• Participates in evaluation, selection, monitoring and termination of carriers.

• Collaborates with shippers to plan for and mitigate the transportation capacity crunch.

Additional Info:

• Effective oral and written communications skills required to collaborate with a wide variety of teams to achieve project deliverables.
• Must be flexible to work in night shifts and rotational shifts to have enough overlap with global teams.
