Job Summary:
The Logistics Officer is responsible for overseeing and managing the company's logistics operations, including inventory, warehousing, transportation, and order processing. The role ensures the efficient and cost-effective delivery of goods to clients while adhering to quality and safety standards.
### Key Responsibilities:
1. Logistics Coordination:
- Plan, coordinate, and monitor the receipt, storage, and distribution of goods.
- Collaborate with suppliers, freight forwarders, and transporters to ensure timely delivery of materials and finished products.
- Ensure compliance with international trade and export regulations.
2. Inventory Management:
- Maintain accurate records of stock levels and ensure adequate supply to meet production and customer demands.
- Conduct periodic stock audits and reconcile discrepancies.
3. Documentation & Compliance:
- Prepare shipping documentation, including invoices, packing lists, and customs declarations.
- Ensure all operations comply with company policies and relevant regulatory requirements.
4. Cost Optimization:
- Identify cost-saving opportunities in logistics processes, including transportation and warehousing.
- Negotiate rates with logistics providers and monitor contracts for cost efficiency.
5. Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with production, sales, and procurement teams to align logistics with overall business goals.
- Address customer inquiries and resolve any logistics-related issues promptly.
6. Process Improvement:
- Implement and monitor KPIs for logistics operations.
- Develop and enhance logistics processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.
1. Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
2. Experience:
- Proven experience as a Logistics Officer or in a similar role (2-5 years).
- Experience in handling export and import logistics is highly desirable.
3. Skills:
- Strong understanding of supply chain and logistics processes.
- Proficiency in logistics software (e.g., TMS, ERP systems).
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
