The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing both cloud-based and on-premises systems, ensuring their security, scalability, and optimal performance. Key Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Cloud Infrastructure Management
  • Configure and optimize cloud servers, security, updates, etc.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot cloud-based systems to ensure high availability and performance.
  • Having good knowledge of installing, configuring, and troubleshoots for
  • Linux centos, Ubuntu
  • Java & Tomcat
  • Apache
  • Redis
  • MySQL and MSSQL
  • WEB Servers
  • FTP and CDN systems
  • Add and manage FTP accounts and file management
  • Domain & sub-domain management
  • Email configure and regularly update security for that
  • Security and Compliance:
  • Implement security best practices for both cloud and local systems, including access controls, encryption, and vulnerability management.
  • Known to comply with industry regulations and internal security policies.
  • Security and hardening of the systems
  • SSL lookup and upgradations
  • Firewall and anti-virus security enhancement
  • IP and Port configuration and leakage monitoring
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
  • Experience implementing security measures for both cloud and on-premises environments.
  • On-Premises Systems Administration:
  • Setup and configure
  • Microsoft servers
  • Windows OS
  • Linux OS
  • MAC OS
  • Various development IDE for Java, .Net, NodeJS, etc.
  • Database management studio for various databases (MySQL, SQLite, MSSQL, Redis, Mongo, etc.)
  • Manage Android and Apple devices
  • Administer and maintain servers, storage, and networking equipment within the office servers and data centers.
  • Implement and manage virtualization for efficient resource utilization.
  • Setup & Support RDP or remote access for the Windows and MAC OS
  • Inventory management for the physical assets and its tracking
  • Patching:
  • Cloud Environments:
  • Implement a patch management strategy for cloud services, ensuring timely updates to maintain security and compliance.
  • Utilize automated tools provided by the cloud platform for patching virtual machines.
  • On-Premises Systems:
  • Establish a patch management process for local servers and infrastructure components.
  • Schedule regular maintenance windows to apply patches without affecting critical operations.
  • Ensure that patches are thoroughly tested in a non-production environment before applying them to production systems.
  • Keep abreast of security bulletins and vulnerabilities to prioritize critical patches.
  • Backup and Disaster Recovery:
  • Backup firewall, Data, File etc.
  • Regular practice to verify the backup restoration and recover
  • Manage old data archival or disposal cycle and maintain track of all backup
  • Implement backup and disaster recovery plans to protect critical data and systems.
  • Monitoring and Performance Optimization:
  • Configured and managed the upgradation of the monitoring tools to track the performance and health of both cloud and on-premises systems.
  • Identify and resolve performance issues through proactive optimization strategies.
  • Automation:
  • Implement automation script/service and tools to streamline repetitive tasks, enhance efficiency, and reduce manual errors.
  • Leverage Infrastructure for consistent and repeatable infrastructure deployment.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Bash) for automation purposes.
  • Familiarity with configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet).
  • Collaboration and Documentation:
  • Collaborate with other IT teams, stakeholders, and vendors to ensure seamless integration of systems. Like FTP, WAR deployment and load testing, IP whitelist and IP load tracking
  • Maintain detailed documentation of configurations, processes, and procedures.
  • Systems Administration:
  • Strong background in managing Windows and Linux server environments.
  • Experience with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and other core services.
  • Networking Knowledge:
  • Understanding of networking concepts, protocols, and security (TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, firewalls).
  • Problem-solving and Troubleshooting:
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve complex issues.
  • Server load manage
  • Log analysis and optimize service/configuration
  • Impact analysis and plans
  • Communication and Continuous Learning:
  • Excellent communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams and conveying technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize tasks, projects, and deadlines effectively.
  • Proactive in staying updated with the latest technologies and industry trends.
  • Having a mix of cloud and on-premises skills makes this role versatile and valuable in organizations with hybrid or multi-cloud environments. Continuous learning and adaptability to evolving technologies are crucial for success in this dynamic field.
  • Alerting, Notifications and Auditing:
  • Configure the alerting based on specific log events to proactively address issues.
  • Configure notifications for critical events that require immediate attention.
  • Conduct regular audits of logs to ensure proper functioning of logging mechanisms.
  • Validate log entries for accuracy and completeness.
  • Provide reports on user activities, login/logout times, and access to sensitive resources.
  • Support investigations and compliance audits with user activity logs.
  • Ensure reports align with regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Facilitate auditing processes with comprehensive compliance reports.
  • Create executive summaries for non-technical stakeholders highlighting key metrics and issues.
  • Store historical reports to enable trend analysis and pattern recognition.
  • Identify recurring issues or areas for improvement based on historical data.
Requirements:
  • Bachelors in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related discipline; professional certification (e.g. Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA)) is a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with databases, networks (LAN, WAN) and patch management
  • Knowledge of system security (e.g. intrusion detection systems) and data backup/recovery
  • Resourcefulness and problem-solving aptitude
  • Experience with or knowledge operating systems; current equipment and technologies, enterprise backup and recovery procedures, system performance-monitoring tools, active directories, virtualization, HTTP traffic, content delivery, and caching
