Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and creative Lighting Technician to join our dynamic events team. This role is crucial in creating visually stunning and immersive lighting designs for live events, ensuring every performance leaves a lasting impression.

Key Responsibilities:

• Event Preparation & Setup:
• Design, program, and operate lighting systems tailored to the event's needs.
• Set up, test, and troubleshoot lighting equipment (e.g., DMX controllers, consoles, and fixtures).
• Collaborate with technicians to align lighting effects with the overall theme.
• Event Execution:
• Operate lighting systems during live events, ensuring seamless transitions and effects.
• Adjust lighting in real-time to enhance performances and adapt to unexpected changes.
• Maintain communication with the team to ensure synchronization with audio, visuals, and other elements.
• Maintenance & Safety:
• Inspect and maintain lighting equipment regularly to ensure optimal performance.
• Follow safety protocols to prevent electrical hazards and ensure audience and team safety.
• Troubleshoot and repair minor issues on-site to minimize downtime.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Lighting Technician for live events.
• Strong knowledge of lighting systems, equipment, and software (e.g., MA Lighting, Avolites)
• Familiarity with DMX protocol and lighting console operation.
• Ability to work under pressure and adapt to fast-paced, high-energy environments.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
• Flexible schedule, including availability on nights, weekends, and holidays.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification in lighting technology or a related field.
• Experience with LED walls and visual integration.
• Basic knowledge of rigging and stage setup.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in physically demanding conditions.
• Must be able to safely climb truss for lighting setup.
