Job Overview :
The librarian in a nursing college is responsible for managing the library's resources, services, and staff to support the academic and professional needs of students, faculty, and staff. The role includes developing, organizing, and maintaining resources, facilitating access to information, and promoting the library as an integral component of nursing education .
Key Responsibilities:
Library Management:
Oversee daily operations of the library, including staffing, budgeting, and resource allocation.
Develop and implement library policies and procedures.
Maintain a clean, organized, and conducive environment for studies.
Resource Development:
Acquire, catalog, and classify medical textbooks, journals, e-books, and other resources.
Ensure up-to-date collections of relevant medical literature and digital resources.
. User Services:
Assist students, faculty, and staff in locating and accessing library materials.
Digital Library and Technology Management :
Manage digital library systems and ensure seamless access to online resources.
Implement and maintain library management software for cataloging and circulation.
Supervision and Training:
Train and supervise library staff, interns, and student assistants.
Plan professional development opportunities for staff to enhance library services.
Records and Reporting :
Maintain records of library usage and resource inventory.
Prepare periodic reports on library performance, resource usage, and future needs.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education: Bachelor's Degree:
• Typically, a bachelor's degree in any discipline is required as the first step.
• Some undergraduate programs in library science or information studies are available in certain institutions.

Pay: ?11,881.34 - ?15,000.00 per month
