Job Title: Land Liaison Officer

Job Summary: The Land Liaison Officer is responsible for managing communication and relationships between the organization and external parties involved in land acquisition, development, or management projects. They ensure that all activities related to land use adhere to legal and regulatory frameworks while meeting the organization's objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Stakeholder Coordination:
• Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders including landowners, government agencies, community groups, and legal advisors.
• Facilitate meetings, negotiations, and discussions to resolve issues related to land acquisition or management.
• Legal Compliance:
• Ensure all land-related activities comply with local, state, and federal laws, regulations, and zoning ordinances.
• Review and interpret legal documents such as deeds, leases, and contracts related to land transactions.
• Documentation and Reporting:
• Maintain accurate records of land transactions, agreements, and other relevant documentation.
• Prepare reports, presentations, and updates for management regarding project status, issues, and resolutions.
• Research and Analysis:
• Conduct research on land ownership, property values, market trends, and other factors influencing land use decisions.
• Analyze data to support strategic decision-making related to land acquisition or management.
• Negotiation and Conflict Resolution:
• Negotiate terms and conditions of land agreements, leases, or contracts.
• Resolve conflicts or disputes that arise during the land acquisition or development process.
• Project Support:
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, architects, and environmental consultants to support land development projects.
• Provide input on land use planning, site selection, and feasibility studies.
• Community Engagement:
• Engage with local communities and stakeholders to address concerns, gather feedback, and build positive relationships.
• Represent the organization at public meetings, hearings, or community events related to land projects.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Land Management, Business Administration, or related field. A Master's degree may be preferred for senior positions.
• Proven experience in land acquisition, real estate development, or related fields.
• Strong knowledge of land use laws, regulations, and procedures.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in using computer software (e.g., MS Office, GIS tools) for documentation and analysis.

Work Environment: Land Liaison Officers typically work in office settings but may also spend time visiting land sites, attending meetings, and engaging with stakeholders in various locations. They may work for government agencies, real estate companies, construction firms, or large corporations involved in infrastructure projects.
