• Assess risk and determine suitable insurance premiums using actuarial data, statistics, and personal judgment.
• Provide accurate premium forecasts and business plans to support budgeting and performance targets.
• Conduct training for staff, partners, and clients as needed.
• Ensure accurate data entry and produce management reports to monitor risks and their financial impact.
• Demonstrate relevant technical expertise in the specific business line.
• Stay updated on industry knowledge through memberships and collaboration with external professional bodies.
• Possess a comprehensive understanding of insurance and terminology across various lines of business.
• Apply strong analytical skills to evaluate information and solve problems.
• Exhibit sound decision-making abilities, considering the costs and benefits of different options.
• Communicate effectively with underwriters, brokers, and colleagues, both in person and over the phone.
• Pay close attention to detail and maintain accuracy in all tasks.
• Work well under pressure, meet deadlines, and excel in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient in using Excel, Word, and company-specific systems for data analysis.
• Must have a solid understanding of commercial Property & Casualty coverage lines, particularly Professional and Specialty lines.
• Minimum of 5+ years of experience in insurance underwriting.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ?80,000.00 - ?100,000.00 per month

Schedule:
