Position- Legal Manager Company-One of the leading FMCG company Location-Mumbai

Roles and Responsibilities

• To work with the business teams to provide legal support (draft, review, negotiate and finalise).
• To work on litigation management, settlement and handling of consumer complaints
• Provide guidance on product developments & approval on marketing claims & marketing materials in India.
• To ensure compliance with food safety laws that affect various aspects of the business
• To advise on employment related issues e.g. termination, severance, mutual separation, outsourcing arrangements, employment templates.
• To work with external counsel to manage IP enforcement programs in India including raids.
• Filing of trademarks and patents, protection of existing IPR etc. To ensure that all material legal & compliance related issues are approved by in accordance with policies.
• To administer training programs for non-legal functions on contractual, intellectual property, marketing law issues, where necessary.

Desired Candidate Profile

• CS , LLB with relevant experience into FMCG Industry or allied .
• At least 8 years- experience post qualification in medium or large private practice (law firm) or MNC (in-house), preferably both.
• Experience in relevant regulations such as FSSAI, Legal Metrology, consumer protection laws, Import Export Laws; etc
• Strong experience drafting and negotiating corporate commercial agreements and assisting on M&A transactions, strategic alliances and JVs
• Strong compliance/commercial experience. Prior FMCG experience will be a requisite
• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
• Self-motivated with strong drive to deliver results
