Job Summary:
The Legal Liaison Officer serves as a critical bridge between our organization and external legal entities. This role involves coordinating legal activities, ensuring compliance with regulations, and facilitating effective communication between legal departments, external counsel, and other stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, legal knowledge, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
• Legal Coordination: Act as the primary point of contact for legal matters between the organization and external legal entities, including law firms, regulatory bodies, and other legal institutions.
• Document Management: Oversee the preparation, review, and management of legal documents and contracts. Ensure that all documents are accurate, complete, and comply with legal standards.
• Compliance: Monitor and ensure adherence to relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies. Assist in the development and implementation of compliance programs and training.
• Communication: Facilitate clear and effective communication between the organization and legal representatives. Prepare and present reports on legal issues, compliance status, and risk management.
• Legal Research: Conduct legal research and analysis as required. Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations that may impact the organization.
• Case Management: Assist in the management of legal cases, including gathering necessary documentation, coordinating with external legal teams, and tracking case progress.
• Risk Management: Identify potential legal risks and work with internal teams to develop strategies to mitigate them. Provide recommendations for risk management improvements.
• Administrative Support: Provide administrative support to the legal department, including scheduling meetings, organizing files, and managing correspondence.
Qualifications:
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Law, Legal Studies, or a related field. A Master's degree or relevant certification (e.g., Legal Assistant/Paralegal Certification) is preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of [6] years of experience in a legal liaison or related role. Experience in real estate is a plus.
