Phoenix Overseas Limited and BCPL Railway Infrastructure Limited are group of companies based in Kolkata, have high and long standing experience for past more than four decades in Exports of various commodities across Indian Sub-continent and European Nations, Manufacturing various fashion accessories, animal consumable products and edible oil, Railway Contracts with respect to Overhead Electricals.

We are looking for a Young and energetic candidate who will be dealing with our lawyers and act as a Legal representative in all aspects.

Designation: Legal Compliance Officer

Roles and Responsibilities

• Follow-ups and maintaining updated status of the Legal matters of the company at various Courts, Commission, tribunals and/or before relevant authorities.
• Drafting legal and company correspondences with acute and precise English acumen.
• Ensure compliance with local laws and regulations.
• Follow-ups of various legal matters with relevant advocates appointed by the company.
• To protect the company owned/leased properties and by taking proper steps/ dispute settlement. Searching the property at registry office etc. through agents

Education : Under Graduate: LLB in Law and having at least Distinction if the candidate has passed from ICSE Board and 65 per cent if the candidate has passed from CBSE Board and at least first division if the candidate has passed from State Board.

Key Skills: Drafting having sound knowledge in English, Corporate Law, Customs and Tax Laws and Insurance Law.

Experience: 0 to 03 Years (Maximum)

Process of Selection: The selection process will be comprising of two tiers, namely: (i) Written Test of 15 minutes, where the candidate has to take a test containing 10 objective questions of General Legal Provision and a subjective question for understating the candidates' English expertise and drafting skills. (ii) Interview.
