R. Harlalka & Co. is a 33+ years old firm, and we are currently seeking a Statutory Auditor to join our team and support our ongoing commitment to financial integrity and compliance.
Role Description
Experience: Must have 3 to 5 years of experience in Corporate Legal Matters
Responsibilities
• Draft, review, and negotiate various legal documents, including contracts, agreements, and MOUs, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
• Provide legal advice and solutions to the organization on diverse matters such as corporate law, labor law, and regulatory compliance.
• Manage litigation cases, coordinate with external counsel, and represent the company in legal proceedings when necessary.
• Conduct legal research to stay updated on the latest laws, regulations, and case precedents relevant to the organization.
• Oversee and ensure compliance with statutory requirements and filings, including timely updates and reports to regulatory bodies.
• Assist in dispute resolution and handle client and vendor grievances through negotiation or arbitration, maintaining the company's interests.
• Collaborate with internal departments to ensure smooth execution of business processes from a legal standpoint.
• Manage all aspects of Direct Tax (DT) and Indirect Tax (IDT) compliance.
• Ensure timely and accurate filing of GST returns, TDS returns, and other tax-related
• documents.
• Conduct thorough tax research and analysis to support decision-making and compliance.
• Develop and implement tax strategies to optimize tax efficiency and minimize liabilities.
• Liaise with external auditors, tax authorities, and legal advisors on tax matters as
• necessary.
• Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations, communicating implications
• Provide tax advice and support to internal teams, including Finance, Legal, and
• Operations.
• Assist in tax audits and assessments, responding to inquiries and resolving issues effectively.
• Maintain accurate tax records and documentation in compliance with statutory.
Skills and Qualifications:
• Bachelors degree in Law (LLB); a masters degree (LLM) is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of corporate laws, contracts, and litigation processes.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Proficient in legal research tools and drafting legal documents.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to handle multiple cases and deadlines effectively
