Job Title: Legal Counsel

:

As a Legal Counsel, you will play a key role in providing legal expertise and strategic guidance to the organization across a range of legal matters. Your responsibilities will include advising on corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, intellectual property, employment law, and commercial contracts. You will ensure the company's compliance with relevant laws and regulations, manage contracts, lead legal risk management initiatives, and represent the organization in legal proceedings.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Legal Counsel and Advisory:

• Provide strategic legal advice to management on corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, intellectual property, employment law, and commercial contracts.
• Conduct in-depth legal research and analysis to assess potential risks and identify opportunities for the business.
• Develop and implement legal strategies to mitigate risks and support business objectives.

2. Contract Management:

• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of legal documents, including contracts, agreements, leases, and other legal instruments.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations, safeguarding the organization's interests.
• Oversee the contract lifecycle, managing renewals, amendments, and tracking expiration dates.

3. Compliance and Risk Management:

• Stay updated on legal and regulatory changes to ensure the company maintains compliance.
• Conduct regular compliance audits and risk assessments, identifying areas for improvement.
• Develop and implement compliance policies and procedures.
• Manage and respond to legal notices, subpoenas, and other legal requests.

4. Litigation and Dispute Resolution:

• Represent the organization in legal matters, including litigation, arbitration, and mediation.
• Manage external legal counsel, ensuring cost-effective litigation strategies and adhering to budgets.
• Develop strategies for resolving disputes promptly and efficiently, focusing on cost-effective outcomes.

5. Team Leadership:

• Lead and mentor a team of legal professionals, including attorneys and paralegals.
• Foster a collaborative and positive work environment, ensuring a high standard of legal work.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active bar admission in good standing.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in corporate law or a related field.
• Strong understanding of business operations and financial principles.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify legal risks and propose effective solutions.
• Ability to manage multiple legal projects and deadlines.
• Exceptional attention to detail.

Additional Considerations:

• Industry Experience: Experience in the industry relevant to the organization's operations is advantageous.
• International Experience: Knowledge of international legal matters and cross-border transactions is beneficial.
• Technology Skills: Proficiency in legal research databases, contract management software, and other relevant technologies is a plus

Needs to travel to represent the company matters & would be working from Office job.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ?25,000.00 - ?40,000.00 per month
