Review, draft, revise and legally negotiate a range of agreements (in English) with customers, vendors, resellers and other third parties, including master agreements, data licenses, software and intellectual property licenses, consulting/services agreements, non-disclosure agreements and other standard and non-standard agreements related to sale of the company\'s products and/or services working within agreed contracting policies.
Work with company personnel to understand the business and financial issues involved in the legal negotiation and administration of contracts.
Provide guidance and advice to clients on legal and contract issues, including navigating various approval processes.
Identify ways to improve and support the enhancement of internal processes and procedures to ensure compliance with contract terms and work with members of the team and back-office to ensure efficient contracts execution process.
Undertake any other duties as requested by your line manager/director, being responsible for management and leadership of staff, major policy initiatives or subject area
Where vital, coordinating localization and translation of contracts and review of outsourced translations of legal documents.
Assist to supervise legal developments within the relevant jurisdictions.
Assist with preparation of and participating in Legal Function\'s staff training sessions.
Helping to identify, assess and advise Assistant General Counsel (and General Counsels) on potential and actual risks and legal exposures and take proactive and remedial measures.
Providing legal support to compliance initiatives include tracking, advisory and implementing processes to ensure continued compliance of the company with the growing and changing regulatory environment and rolling out ethics and compliance initiatives and training for staff across the regions supported.Knowledge/Skills
Solid understanding of MS Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook and skills for learning and using new software tools.
Able to work independently and collaboratively with staff (at all levels) to provide support, expertise and advice to assist in achieving geographical and global objectives optimally and efficiently.
Comfortable working in a high pressure, frequently changing environment.
Qualifications and Experience Required
Ability to think strategically and creatively, to identify and help resolve legal issues, desire and ability to quickly learn about Refinitiv/LSEG products and services, and its internal processes and organizational structure.
Ability to prioritise multiple matters at once and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Possess highly-developed organizational skills and be articulate, meticulous and hard-working.
Able to draft in English - Drafting and legal negotiations in other languages are an advantage.
Must be qualified to practice and be a registered member of a Bar Council (or the equivalent regulatory body in the country of such registration), AND have a law degree (preferably from an accredited tier one law school).
Excellent written and oral communications skills.
Strong contract and negotiation and drafting abilities.
Self-starter with sound administrative and time management skills, with sharp attention to detail.
Demonstrated ability to independently lead projects and meet deadlines.
