Generalist Legal; Specialist Legal
Acts as a technical expert on complex and specialist subject(s). Supports management with the analysis, interpretation and application of complex information, contributing to the achievement of divisional and corporate goals. Supports or leads projects by applying area of expertise.
What will you do?
• Collaborate with FedEx business stakeholders in the Asia, Middle East, and Africa (AMEA) region on a number of corporate compliance areas, with a focus on export controls/international trade
• Learn about the FedEx Export Controls program and implement elements of the program for the AMEA region, with support from Legal colleagues in the region and across the world
• Handle restricted party screening for the AMEA region, managing escalations, false hits, and remediation
• Drive export control compliance initiatives for the region, including development and facilitation of training (online and in-person), draft communications and advise on queries related to our export control policy and procedures
You will be a great fit if you
• Have a law degree and 5-10 years of legal experience in export controls/international trade/sanctions
• Have worked harmoniously in/with a in a multi-national company to support corporate compliance areas such as export controls/international trade, investigations, and/or other corporate compliance area
• Enjoy learning and working in a multi-faceted, multi-cultural team
